Nigel Rothfels è l’autore del volume di prossima pubblicazione intitolato Elephant House (2015), studio di un edificio per elefanti all’American zoological garden in collaborazione con l’artista Dick Blau, e di Savages and Beasts: The Birth of the Modern Zoo (2002), storia dell’uso di paesaggi naturalistici nei giardini zoologici. È il curatore del volume multidisciplinare Representing Animals (2002), e ha co-curato con Garry Marvin, la serie di libri Animalibus: Of Animals and Cultures pubblicati dalla Penn State University Press. Nigel Rothfels is the author of the forthcoming Elephant House (2015), an exploration of an elephant building at an American zoological garden in collaboration with the artist Dick Blau, and Savages and Beasts: The Birth of the Modern Zoo (2002), a history of the use of naturalistic landscapes in zoos. He is the editor of the cross-disciplinary collection Representing Animals (2002) and co-edits, with Garry Marvin, the book series Animalibus: Of Animals and Cultures published by Penn State University Press. He has received post-doctoral fellowships from the Shelby Cullom Davis Center for Historical Studies at Princeton University, the Humanities Research Centre at the Australian National University in Canberra, the US National Endowment for the Humanities, and the University of Oslo.
